| Dr. Hetherington grew up in
Butte, Montana where his father taught at Montana Tech. He attended
Butte High School and was graduated in 1978. He obtained his
undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He then
attended Saint Louis University School of Medicine, graduating in
1986. In 1992, he completed a five-year surgical residency training
program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Madigan Army
Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. This specialty is concerned
with medical and surgical disorders of the ears, nose, throat, face,
head and neck. After residency, he completed a fellowship program in
Head and Neck Reconstruction and Skull Base Surgery at
Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in
1994. The focus of the additional year of training was plastic,
reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the head and neck, surgical
treatment of the head and neck cancer, and the treatment of nose and
sinus disorders. During his military service, he was assigned to
Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii where he was a
Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and was responsible for the
training of resident physicians. At that time, he held faculty
appointments at the University of Hawaii and at the Uniformed Services
University of the Health Sciences. He is board certified by both the
American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. |
Cheryl
Drost, M.A., CCC-A
Certified AudiologistCheryl Drost holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Communicative Disorders and a Master’s Degree in Audiology,
from Northern Illinois University.
She received additional auditory training in
Auditory-Verbal therapy from Helen Bebee Speech and Hearing
Clinic, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Her professional experience has included clinical
diagnostic audiology in hospitals and private clinics,
educational audiology, industrial hearing conservation,
consultation, hearing aid dispensing, and aural rehabilitation.
Cheryl has written and presented on a variety of topics
including noise-induced hearing loss, pediatric hearing
screenings, and the purpose of hearing conservation programs.
She is licensed in the State of Montana to practice
audiology and dispense hearing instruments.
She is board certified with the American Academy of
Audiology. Cheryl
is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA),
American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA),
Montana Speech and Hearing Association (MASHA), Alexander Graham
Bell Association (A.G.Bell), the American Tinnitus Association
(ATA), and the local Bozeman Chamber of Commerce Leads Group,
and Bozeman Lion’s Club (serving the hearing and visually
impaired). Cheryl
has a special interest in amplification for the hearing
impaired. Because
technology is ever changing and progressive, continuing
education is part of her professional repertoire. The practice includes advanced technologies and digital
products for the hearing impaired and for those who would like
to protect their hearing. |
